We are currently using the 30-month checklist (the kids are actually 33-months, actual, not adjusted Uncle Kevin) to assess their development.
Starting at 36 months, the milestone list changes to once a year up to 72 months (6 years).

And now for a humorous breakdown of how the kids are doing.
#2. Does it count if it takes them two hours to do it?
#3. They have been joining 5+ words together (Artemis even more) for months.
#5. They are very familiar with me, my and mine in both English and Spanish. We've recently started correcting them and they will use "I" when prompted.
#7. Artemis is very good at drawing lines. Wait for my post on "Wordless Wednesday" to see all of her skills in action...
#8. No need to have the clothing already unzipped, they can do that for themselves. Thankfully, the days of waking up to them naked have ended. For now.
#9. Most of the time. Max is so cute when he falls (and doesn't get hurt of course).
#10. What about "Kick a ball forward and knock over a drink that's sitting on the table right beside a laptop". Future game winner?
#12. They both love to sing Twinkle Twinkle and the Itsy Bitsy Spider and know them by rote.
#14. They love to make believe. Unfortunately, it sometimes requires that they spill something (on purpose) so that they can clean it up...
#15. What constitutes briefly?

My kids aren't that age yet, but this is great to keep in mind for future use!
