We couldn't be happier to report that Marcella is back for her annual summer visit! For the past two years, she has been living in South Korea, however, that part of her journey has ended and in two months she's off to Spain (didn't she just get here!?). We try not to think about how much we'll miss her and just enjoy the time that we do get to spend with her.
The other day Ed was vacuuming and I was babysitting (read: trying to keep track of) the kids. At one point Artemis just up and disappeared (she's not a fan of the vacuum). Ed and I looked everywhere for her. The only reason why I found her was because she moved.
The Zoo is so excited to begin the next chapter of our journey, our annual visit to the Family Farm Compound in Grey County. We will be gone for at least one month, with a week of September Camp in August thrown in.
As all great big sisters do, she brought the kids presents. An alphabet train set for Max and a Princess/Butterfly dress-up set for Artemis. Truly unique and what every kid(s) needs!

Besos, The Zoo
The girls are scared of the vacuum as well, Gabrielle more so than Julia. I had dragged it upstairs a few days ago to vacuum, but I am lazy so it sat there. This afternoon when I got them up from nap, Gabrielle kept saying she wanted to help me vacuum. So I put Julia on the floor of her room, and as soon as I turned it on, Gabrielle freaked and went in with Julia and shut the door. I kept vacuuming, and every so often I'd hear the bedroom door open, see Gabrielle peek out, then slam it shut. When I'd turn it off to move to another room, she'd stick her head out and say, "All done momma?" And when I said no, she'd slam the door closed again. They were in there playing with stuffed animals and "reading" Julia's books. I may just vacuum every day now. =)
